Continuing my Adventure in Spain
Last year, I left everything that was familiar to me and went to teach in Thailand for five months. I had never left the country or been away for loved ones that long, but I knew it was something I needed to experience. I never thought that exactly a year later I would be doing the same thing in a new place.
I have now been in Spain for one month, but I am already beginning to feel acquainted with the city. I am coming into this experience with an open mind and a curiosity to learn as much as I can. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to travel the world, meet new and interesting people and continue to push myself out of my comfort zone and teaching abroad has aided in each of those.
I am once again doing this program through CIEE - the job and the lifestyle are very different from Thailand and even the U.S. I am teaching at a preschool this time around, I work 16 hours a week and traveling is very accessible.
I will be in Spain for one year - I am excited to continue to learn about and learn from this country!
