Exchange programs provide many opportunities for personal growth and professional development. Including your exchange experience sets you apart from other candidates and shows future employers that you are experienced and independent.

Who should list their experience?
EVERYONE! No matter what kind of program you were on, you should feel confident listing it on your CV. Whether you studied at a high school, worked at an amusement park, trained at a tech start-up or mentored children at a summer camp, your experience taught you new skills. Exchange experiences change lives – use your CV to explain how it changed yours.

What information should you include on our CV?
For all programs, you should list where you went, what kind of program you were on, and when you were there. Be sure to name the host organization, summer camp, or high school that hosted you!

Where should you list your experience?

  • If you received high school or university credit, you should list your experience under the EDUCATION section of your CV.
  • If you had a work experience, you should list it under the WORK EXPERIENCE section of your CV.
