A Busy Month, Weeks before Departure
Hello everybody it is currently the 31st of August and I am set to fly out to Spain on the 11th of September. A lot has happened this month to lead up to this moment, so I'll provide a little recap. I first had to go up to Chicago to pick up my passport with the new visa inside. A friend and I spent around 3 days up there and we ran around the whole city. It was alot of fun and I definitely recommend anyone making the journey to retrieve their visa make a trip out of it! After I got back I had to pack up everything in my house, as I was moving out of the town I went to college in. That took about a week and only adds to the predeparture festivities.
As I sit now I am in my hometown for two weeks before I fly out. I have moved everything back in and have to make last minute preparations and pack my bags before I leave. The extra weeks give me time to reflect on everything and spend time with my friends and family. Although I am nervous, I am very excited for what the year or two will bring and all the new experiences that are to be had. Even though it is a little intimidating to move abroad I fully recommend it to anyone, whether they are considering it or not. I'm sure it will help me grow as a person and open my eyes to things I didn't even know existed.
Anyways, I'm two weeks out from flying when the real fun begins. So until then, more orientation and messaging others on Facebook that are in my group!
