Invite the World Into Your Classroom
CIEE brings the magic of studying abroad to your language classroom. Register for a free CIEE Global Classroom session and tune in when top language instructors from our CIEE study centers in Rennes, Seville, and Mérida deliver short 30-minute live lessons inspired by our study abroad curriculum!
These Zoom-based sessions are designed for U.S. high school world language classrooms and bring real-time culture, authentic resources, and local instructors into your students' lives. All sessions are free and open to all CIEE partner schools. Each lesson is offered three times per day across four consecutive days, giving you the flexibility to choose the date and time that best fits your class schedule.

Hosted on Zoom
Hosted on Zoom and designed for large-group participation, these sessions connect world language classrooms from across the United States in a shared virtual experience. While they do not include one-on-one interaction with CIEE instructors, students will actively engage with one another through in-class activities like Turn and Talk or Think-Pair-Share, guided by instructor prompts. Each session also includes a few minutes at the end to address student questions, which the teachers can submit via Zoom chat.
Your Role During a CIEE Global Classroom Session
- Simply register for a Zoom session and add that activity to your lesson plan.
- Once you are registered, you will receive a digital packet outlining the session. The packet includes an approximately 20-minute pre-Workshop Activity to complete with your students before the live session, as well as a Post-Workshop Exit Ticket to extend learning afterward.
- Log in to the Zoom meeting on the day of your session. You will be muted upon entry. Project the session for your whole classroom to see and invite students to participate when prompted (for example, through Turn and Talks or Think-Pair-Shares). When invited, share your students’ questions and responses in the Chat.
- Support and monitor student participation throughout the session to help ensure an engaging and successful experience.
