Welcome to Singapore!
After a couple long traveling days, students have hit the ground running in Singapore! Sunday and Monday were full of learning more about one another, familiarizing ourselves with the public transit system, and exploring the plentiful food options.
The first day, students visited the Jewel Changi Airport, where they enjoyed the extremely impressive indoor waterfall and a lively food court of freshly made food. Some also explored the pool and even practiced their Mandarin with other hotel guests.
Yesterday started with a program orientation and then an afternoon visit to the National Museum of Singapore. Students had an introduction to the history and development of Singapore, and they particularly enjoyed the “Story of the Forest”, an immersive digital installation presented in the museum’s glass rotunda. The day was capped off with a lively group dinner at a Thai restaurant near the hotel.
The next three weeks should be a blast!
