Welcome to Portugal!
We've arrived at our hostel safe and sound!
The group met up at the airport before heading by bus to the hostel we'll stay in until Thursday. We're battling sleep today - we know that the best way to beat jetlag is to get on the local schedule, which means staying awake for the full day after our flight landed in the morning.
Students learned more about Portugal, their teachers, and the program this afternoon in our first orientation session. During a bit of downtime, students played soccer with a few locals. A group of us ventured out to the beach near our hostel, and some were even brave enough to go for a chilly swim!
Tomorrow we'll continue our orientation, take a tour of Lisbon, and go out for a celebratory welcome dinner. We're all excited to keep exploring!
