Welcome to the Eternal City!
Our new High Schools students were welcomed by the CIEE Rome Staff and Host Families at the Fiumicino airport, where they could relax after the long trip in a lounge that we prepared for them.
The first day at CIEE Study Center was the Orientation Day. Our students learned about health and safety, as well as about their Italian language course.
On the second day we started with Italian classes! From now on we speak only Italian! Right after classes students put their skills into practice on the streets of Rome, where we went scavenger hunting!
Third day – more Italian practice, especially with locals! That is why we went on a walking tour to Piazza di Spagna, where we visited the museum Keats-Shelly House, once inhabited by famous British Romantic poets, and explored the neighborhood chitchatting with the Italians.
