St. Malo
Bonjour!!!!
This past Saturday we went to St. Malo. It was a wonderfully cloudy day but our spirits were raised by an amazing tour at a Maison de Corsaires and free time spent in the lovely city. At the Maison de Corsaires we had a wonderful tour! We learned about how ship owners could fight on behalf of the King with a declaration. We viewed documents and remains from the 1700s! We also learned that when the ships weren't at war they were generally merchant ships. Our guide was amazingly funny and personable! It was great time!
Afterwards some of us went for "moules" which are very popular in St. Malo. Others went shopping. At the end of the day we also got to witness a marriage procession! It was a fun day!
Unitl next time,
Jen
