CIEE Art Making in Prague’s Creative Studio is off and running!

Students arrived at JFK Airport from all over the country, and were met by their Program Leaders, Courtney and Whitney, in Terminal 4. Our students were quick to make friends, and they paired off for lunches and smoothie bowls prior to boarding. Everyone made it on the flight on time with few complications, with the exception of our gate being changed three times! Our students are doing an excellent job at being where they need to be on time, asking questions when needed, and forming a close-knit group of artists. We made it through customs quickly and many of our students received the first stamp in their passport!

Everyone settled into the accommodations nicely in the evening, following our first meal out together. Our Czech Program Assistant, Marek, led students on a walk near the hotel so students could learn the lay of the land, and students found several important businesses such as the drug store, cafe, ice cream, and the nearest tram stop. Students are learning more about Czech culture and language with every interaction. Stay tuned to learn about the start to our first week in Prague's Art and Design Institute!
