Scavenger Hunt in Montmartre, France!
Un, deux, trois et c'est parti. Off the students went to discover one of the most famous quartiers in the 18th arrondissement of Paris in a competitive scavenger hunt! During one of the hottest days in Paris, the students climbed the second highest point in Paris in order to discover one of the most picturesque views of the city! Armed with clues in French, a map, and a partner, the students were on the search for a red windmill (Le Moulin Rouge), a pink home (La Maison Rose), a white church (Sacré Coeur), and a square full of artists (La Place du Tertre), learning at the same time their historical and actual uses today. Some students even found the statute of the famous singer Dalida, the museum of Dalí, and the famous café where Amélia worked in her movie. The students also searched for the "Mur des je t'aime" which was constructed in 2000 and contains the phrase "I love you" in 250 languages and where they found the locks of love relocated from a bridge in Paris. With its cobbled streets and an atmosphere of a quaint village, Montmartre is full of charm!
