Rosewood
Today we visited the Rosewood gardens and woodworking shop. We strolled through the gardens, using all of our senses to discover the different plants that grow there. Some students even tried their hand at sugar cane harvesting.
In the workshop, we had the opportunity to see how bowls are made on a lathe and even got to try ourselves! Students took turns helping to carve out a bowl and then polish it with beeswax.
Each of them took home a small piece of wood, a simple but meaningful souvenir to remember their experience in Monteverde.
