Palma Aquarium
Earlier this week we visited the Palma Aquarium.
We love searching for sea life during our snorkeling sessions but it was interesting to observe species that are not native to the area or that we haven’t found yet near the shores of Mallorca.
Our guides walked us through the different exhibits, explaining how each tank is expertly designed to create a mini ecosystem in which the different species can thrive.
The 55 tanks are home to hundreds of species from all over the world. We saw conger eels, octopus, seahorses and tiger sharks to name a few.
One of the highlights was definitely the jellyfish tank. As we normally have to avoid these pesky but beautiful little creatures while swimming, it was nice to lay back in the huge bean bag chairs at the aquarium and watch them float around.
