Olá, Lagos!
Yesterday we hopped on the bus and headed down to southern Portugal, to Lagos. We made a productive stop on the way to tour the UNESCO-protected town of Évora. We saw a chapel of human bones, Roman ruins, and charming streets and shops. Our timing was great and we even caught a bit of the shops and pop-ups set up for Festa de São João!
Lagos is located in the Algarve region and flaunts some of the most beautiful beaches, stunning cliffs, and plenty of marine life! We began our stay here with a city tour and practiced our Portuguese along the way. This afternoon, we climbed aboard boats to tour the coastline and cliffs surrounding the town.
We're looking forward to exploring more of what Lagos has to offer in the next few days, like snorkeling and dolphin-watching!
XOXO,
Libby and Jing
