Obrigado, Portugal!
Our whirlwind of a trip has come to an end! We cannot believe how quickly it all flew by. We've spent the last couple of days reflecting, cherishing our time together, and debriefing our learning. Yesterday morning, students presented their final projects to their peers, instructors, and program leaders.
There's no better reflection activity than stargazing, so last night, we headed to the Lisbon Astronomical Observatory to do just that.
We saw Jupiter, Saturn, and various constellations and star clusters through the telescope. The evening was full of hugs and memories shared.
This morning we took time to stamp all of the personal growth we've made and to appreciate all we've learned from one another. Then we headed to our last outing together: exploring the Oceanario de Lisboa, the aquarium! Students enjoyed seeing sharks, otters, penguins, and countless species of fish up close.
This group was friendly, open-minded, and fun. We've shared hundreds of photos, so much bus karaoke, and plenty of memories together.
Until next time, obrigado, Portugal.
XOXO,
Libby and Jing
