New experiences, new ideas and those crazy entrepreneurs
The last few days have been all about breaking out of our comfort zones. We left the now well known surroundings of Kreuzberg and started exploring around the city. The city walking tours provided a great chance for the students to see the famous sights of Berlin and then on Thursday students went to visit several different innovative startups and entrepreneurs around the city to gather some ideas for their own projects. LOS GEHT’S!
From high-class sustainable fashion to making seed bombs, the students saw a wide variety of businesses and met the crazy entrepreneurs behind them. These entrepreneurs followed their dreams against all odds. The students took these ideas back to the classroom and got to work on their own business ideas, while keeping in mind the wisdom that the received from the entrepreneurs.
Friday was filled with some great opportunities to improve the students team working abilities through a workshop put on by the program leaders and the greatest challenge of all: cooking dinner together. CIEE student assistants helped a group of students cook some classic Syrian dishes. Laughs were had and good food was shared. YUM YUM!
Now off to Görlitz! Check back tomorrow to find out how our weekend adventure went!
