¡Museos!
This afternoon we took the time to visit two museums in Alicante. First we went to the MACA (Museo de arte contemporaneo de Alicante). The students had time to peruse the collection, which included two Joan Miro paintings as well as a picasso illustration. From there, we walked down through the port of Alicante to the "Sala de exposiciones la lonja de pescado". Here the students saw some photography work as well as an exhibition on "Las fogueras" the celebration of San Juan held in Alicante during the week of June 20, the summer solstice. Below are photos of the group taking it all in! This afternoon the activity will be a bit more labor intensive as we hike to the top of el castillo Santa Barbara.
