Morocco Book- Page 7 "Azafrane" School Of Gardening Visit
Second amazing Wednesday!
Our Language and Culture program students have visited the School of Gardening "Azfrane" in Salé, Morocco.
The School of Gardening is located on the Bouregreg River shore in the periurban area between Rabat and Salé, which hosts a significant number of populations migrated from rural areas.
Their 15 -17 year old students study in a scientific way about the lives of plants and gardening flowers in bloom, green grasslands, and deciduous trees. They graduate with a diploma after 3 years. In addition, the school's goal is to support the students to find appropriate jobs and help keep the environment green.
Their students greeted and introduced themselves to us in Arabic, and our students did the same. It was a great merge between our youths and theirs. Afterward, the youths from both parties exchanged some questions and answers about the similarities and differences between the schools in the US and the A school of Gardening in Sale, Morocco.
Finally, our students got the chance to plant and take the pots away with them. They drank the popular Moroccan tea and took off back to their host homestay families. Everyone is excited and looking forward to the Marrakech weekend trip. Until then, stay tuned.
