Minas de Wanda
Sunday was our final day in Iguazú and we ventured a little outside the main town to the Minas de Wanda (Wanda Mines). Our guide explained how the beautiful precious stones are formed from air bubbles within basalt rock. We took our guide's advice and placed one hand on the precious stones and another up to the sky to soak in some positive energy. Following that excercise, we entered the working mine tunnels and our guide explained how miners look to extract a whole bubble filled with precious stones. We said goodbye to the Misiones Province later in the day as we boarded our flight back to Buenos Aires. It was a great three-day with lots of fun, sun, and exploration!
