Lights, Camera, Action!
Tuesday was a day of teatro(theater) for HSSA Buenos Aires students! After classes and lunch we headed to the Teatro Colón for a tour of the awe-inspiring building, which is the main opera house of Buenos Aires. Students were impressed by the elegant interior and were able to see a brief portion of the rehearsal of Turandot by Giacomo Puccini which will debut on June 25th.
After our tour of the Teatro Colón, students talked with locals about literature, local tourist attractions and unique products in stores. We made our way back to the CIEE Study Center to continue the theatrics of the day with an acting class!
Local thespian, Cynthia, led the students in some warm up activities in which they expressed how they were feeling without using words. Soon enough, students were dancing around the room, following Cynthia's prompts and having a great time! The energy and enthusiasm they brought to acting out photos and scenes was truly impressive! I don't think this will be the last time we see these talented young thespians on stage. ¡Bravo!
