La Grande Mosquée de Paris!
This week, session 2 students went to the Grande Mosquée de Paris, or the Grand Mosque of Paris. Students saw the inside of the mosque, the beautiful gardens and drank mint tea at the cafe next to the mosque. The mosque is a beautiful and tranquil escape from busy Paris, and was built from 1922 to 1926. It is one of the largest mosques in France, and was built to honor the sacrifices of the muslim soldiers during World War I. Students explored the gardens during the visit, and then went to the cafe to have mint tea. During an unseasonably cool week, this was a welcome treat!
