Kayaking in La Marina Salé!
Week one here at the Language and Culture program in Rabat is well under way, and this Friday's cultural activity gave students the opportunity to spend the afternoon kayaking in the Bouregreg river. Located on the shore of Salé and sheltered slightly from the waves rolling in from the Atlantic ocean, the Bouregreg Marina is lined by major sites of both historical and contemporary significance including the necropolis of Chellah and the Hassan Tower.
Doubling up in pairs or groups of threes, students embarked on a kayaking tour of the marina and got a chance to experience a small part of Rabat in a new way. Scroll through the photos above to see all the fun students had out on the water today!
