Having Fun With Students at Centro Madre María José
During our final week in Buenos Aires we have continued exploring all this city has to offer; we have visited an elementary school, gone to the Museo de Bellas Artes, seen the famous Floralis Generica sculpture, and had our second round of theater class. A highlight for many students was the visit to the elementary school, Centro Madre María José, which houses an after-school program. Our Level 1 students interacted with the youngest students, ages 5-9, as they drew pictures together and worked together to prepare a snack for the merienda. Our Level 2 students interacted with kids 10-12 years old by playing name games and wide variety of math, memory, and board games. Our Level 3 students conversed with Argentine adolescents ages 13-16 about life and cultural differences. It was great to see CIEE High School Summer Abroad Global Navigators having such a great time with students in Argentina while making some lasting memories!
