Hablando del arte
El arte.
Last week was filled with art of all types: classic art, modern art, urban art in museums and within the streets of Palma. On Thursday morning, our group went on a tour of the Miró Mallorca Fundación, where they learned about the life and works of famous artist, Joan Miró. Not only did we get to tour the exhibit, but also the grounds where his home and studio have been preserved.
On Friday morning, we explored the urban art around Palma. Throughout the tour, the students learned about different types of graffiti and urban art and about the different urban artists here in Palma. At the conclusion of the tour, each group discussed what they thought about urban art in the city. The students are getting really good at expressing their opinions and observations in Spanish!
