Getting to Know Buenos Aires Landmarks
Week number two has been filled with cultural activities around the city. Students have been getting their exercise as traveling on foot is often the most efficient form of transportation. On Monday afternoon, students café con leche and medialunas (croissants) in one of the city's most iconic cafés, El Gato Negro. On Tuesday students visited the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes where they spotted works by famous Argentine artists, as well as other Spanish-speaking artists such as Pablo Picasso and Diego Rivera. This week students also toured an 18th century ship where they got to see memorabilia from the Argentine fleet and learn about life among the crew. There are beautiful landmarks and historical sites in every direction, the views never cease to impress!
