Exploring the Great Mosque of Paris
Throughout the week, we have visited several fascinating sites celebrating the vast diversity of Paris. One of these excursions took us to the oldest mosque in mainland France…Great Mosque of Paris in the 5th Arrondissement. Students had a chance to see the prayer room, an Islamic library, and a beautiful 3,500-meter garden.
After exploring the mosque, we went around the corner to visit the mosque’s tea room, where we enjoyed traditional mint tea, and some of us tried some delicious pastries.
This week has been full of fun, and exciting activities. Despite the high summer temperatures in Paris this week, everyone has been out exploring the city, and speaking French with the locals. It has been quite amazing to see how much progress has been made in three weeks!
