Explorando la costa en bici/ Cocinando del estilo español
Yesterday afternoon, our group split up to do two different activities. One of the groups geared up with sneakers and helmets and explored the coastline on bikes. The students took in the beautiful views as they rode about 45 minutes to Can Pastilla beach where they got to take a dip in the ocean to cool off. The bikers enjoyed a cold drink and an ice cream before riding back to the city center to have dinner with their families.
The other group of students got to know Palma a little bit better through the best way there is… through the cuisine! These students participated in a cooking class in which they learned how to prepare some typical foods including gazpacho (a refreshing cold “soup”) and tortilla de patatas (made with eggs, potato and onion).
Next week, the student groups will switch activities and be able to share and compare their experiences with each other!
