Deep Dive in Sesimbra
Written by: Charlotte F.
We started off our journey this morning with a long bus ride across the mountainscape to Sesimbra. Once we arrived at the diving school, everyone squeezed into their wetsuits and learned the basics of snorkeling, as well as how to recognize the creatures we might encounter in the water. Then we set off on our boat ride to the snorkeling spot on the cliffside of Sesimbra.
And so we dived into the cold blue sea! Our instructors guided us to the most interesting spots and showed us many sea creatures. Many students even found cuttlefish, sea urchins, and squid! After flipping our fins to our hearts’ content, we headed back to shore for our debriefing about the variety of wildlife and plant life we saw in the water.
To finish off the night we were treated to ice cream on the beach! We had a fun night of laughing, talking, and eating before we hopped on the bus and headed back to the hotel.
