Cultural Explorers Take Over!
The CIEE Summer Abroad students hit the town of Buenos Aires with two days of cultural center adventures. We first visited the Centro Cultural Kirchner, the largest of Latin America, and the third or fourth largest in the world. This beautiful building is located between Buenos Aires Central Business District and Puerto Madero. Students were able to proceed with a self-guided tour to view sculptures and exhibitions in the center. They were also able to speak with local patrons to complete their in-the-community activity to learn more about the exciting attractions to visit during their time in Argentina.
Students later went to The Recoleta Cultural Centre, an exhibition and cultural events center located in the barrio of Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Afterward, we explored the feriado market outside the cultural center as the locals celebrated their day in homage to Flag Day.
