Catching Some Waves!
Written by: Madeline & Maiken
Today we got the opportunity to surf the waves of Portugal and visit the factory where many famous surfers get their surfboards from. Both the students and staff were able to learn how to surf from great instructors helping them when they needed it. By the end, everyone was looking like pros especially in their wetsuits which helped with the chilly water!
After surfing and spending some time napping/tanning we headed back onto the buses to stop at the Surf Factory. At the factory, we got to see the process in which surfboards are made. We toured through all of the steps such as shaping, sanding, glazing, and painting. At the end of the tour, we even got to see some really cool finished boards!
