Atelier des Lumières
Last week, our students went to the Atelier des Lumières, which is housed in a former iron foundry. Every year, a different artist is featured. This year, the interactive art space surrounds visitors with works by Belorussian-born artist, Marc Chagall. Immersed in the hypnotic interplay of color; light; and music, the students discovered Chagall's vibrant, eclectic body of art. After the show, we went to a nearby park where the students talked about how they felt during the show; how the music contributed to the experience; and what influences of Chagall's life they saw in the works of art. Everyone was excited about this truly unique experience.
