Today marks the début of our program--first day of class, first commnity conversation, first cultural excursion. Students started the morning with their professors, jumping right in to the language and culture lessons. We had lunch together in the Parc du Thabor and practiced our speaking strategies for the community conversations. Afterward, we went on a tour of Rennes so the students could get to know the city a little better. It was a long day but everyone did a great job engaging and really staying in the language--even just between each other they were speaking French and--dare I say?--loving it!
