Aeroscopia!
Students yesterday went to Aeroscopia to discover the aviation history of Toulouse. This museum has been a staff and student favorite for the past few summers, and this session was no different!
Students separated into two different groups and learned about everything from the first inventors of flying machines (one focused on the motor where the other focused on the wings) and the Wright Brothers who finally compiled these two ideas into one to create the first airplane! Aeroscopia also had a Tintin exhibit in tandem with their airplane displays, which is a Belgian cartoon that had lots of different airplanes depicted in the stories. They compared the designs with actual airplanes, which was really neat to see!
Students were really interested in the guided tours and asked many questions of the guides! It was really neat to see them interact with this special history of Toulouse and learn some really new things!
Check out the photos of the students and the museum!
