Aboard a Chilean Naval Ship!
Today we went on a Naval Ship in Valparaiso. We went to “Molo de Abrigo”. There we spoke to a naval officer and two other members of the Chilean Navy. We learned about the different types of ships located in Valparaiso. They have an oil tanker and a few other frigates; a total of eight frigates in the Valparaiso port. Some of their ships came from the Netherlands in the early 2000s. We boarded and took a short tour of one of the frigates from the Netherlands. We learned that it still has a few missiles in it and their machine guns shoot 100 bullets in a minute.
Here are the pictures we were allowed to take while on the ship.
