MacKenzie teaches at the international Verde Valley IB School in Sedona, AZ.  She holds an M.A. in Teaching from Brown University and a B.A. in International Relations with a French focus, including three semesters of study in France—Paris, Aix-en-Provence, and Toulouse—followed by one year of teaching in Grenoble, France. She previously collaborated as a Social Studies textbook and digital curriculum writer, continuing to leverage technology for discussions of current events and multiculturalism.
