Erin H.
Erin's Program
Erin spent the first 18 years of her life in Haddonfield, New Jersey and was living in San Diego, California, the past seven. She graduated from San Diego State University in May 2022 with a B.A. in Public Health, Child and Family Development, and Psychology. Despite her interest in behavioral sciences and education, she worked in sales as an Account Manager in the food and beverage industry for three years post-grad prior to applying to CIEE Madrid.
Although she was pleasantly surprised by how much she enjoyed working in sales and the CPG industry, it was time to get serious about her dreams of teaching and living abroad. She applied for CIEE in December 2024 and committed to the Fall 2025 program by January. She obtained her 150-Hour TEFL Certificate with distinction from CIEE TEFL in May and thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning about English as a Second Language.
In her free time, Erin loves to read, write, go out to eat with friends, workout, spend time outside, watch movies, travel, and listen to music (whether it be through headphones or live at a music festival). Moving to Europe is a dream come true for her, as well as having her writing published somewhere, so her hope is that friends, family, and prospective CIEE participants will enjoy following along as she does her best to document this whirlwind of an experience.
