We've arrived!
Session 2 has begun! We have all landed safely in Santo Domingo and have been busy getting settled into our home for the next 3 weeks. Our participants have enjoyed having the chance to get to know their host families and their new neighborhood, and have been enthusiastically getting to know each other as well throughout orientation. Our little CIEE casita is located in Gazcue, a neighborhood in the capital city of Santo Domingo and it's already starting to feel like home even after just a couple days! So far we've explored introductory aspects of Dominican culture and engaged in insightful discussions, setting us up for success as we gear up to meet the children at our service site tomorrow. Enjoy these photos of travel day, orientation activities, and our welcome dinner from Monday night!
