Welcome - Student Post by Miguel
¡Bienvenidos a Costa Rica! After an arduous day of traveling, we have finally made it to our home away from home. We immediately bonded with our peers and developed life-long friendships. Our instructor, Pablo, immediately opened our minds with an irreversible damage demonstration. We each drew our favorite place on a tile, and he came around and broke each one with a rock. This activity helped us realize the devastating effects of climate change and how it affects each area. Next, Pablo and Cailey guided us through the stunning campus and taught us about significant climate change contributions, such as the greenhouse effect. While traveling through the campus, Aviana and Keara made new friends with the unique and beautiful bugs.
