Welcome to Japan - Let's learn about Earthquakes!
The Tokyo session 2 students spent their first day (7/9) learning dilligently in their classes. We took an excursion to Ikebukuro Bosaikan (Life Safety Learning Center), to learn about fires and Earthquakes. Students participated in a simulated fire situation, they screamed "Kaji-da! (fire! in Japanese), and used fire extinguishers to put out a make-believe fire. Students also learned how to follow emergency signs to an exit in a simulated smoke house. They also learned what being in an earthquake felt like!
