Weekend Fun: Ziplining, Waterfall Adventure, Permaculture Tour!
This weekend we enjoyed more excursions in the Santa Elena area.
Saturday morning our group had a fantastic time Zip Lining at Selvatura park, and after we changed out of our rain-soaked clothes (part of the fun of Costa Rica in the wintertime!) we went happy and dry to visit Valle Escondido to learn the principles of permaculture and tour their beautiful grounds. The rain brought out some adorable tiny frogs!
We spent Sunday trekking through the El Tigre preserve to visit four gorgeous waterfalls and even swim in the refreshing cool stream! After our hike we did a short horseback ride back to our meeting point. Content and tired, we returned to campus for a hot shower, a delicious and comforting pizza meal, and a lovely ANCHOR meeting to process the weekend and prepare for the upcoming (final!) week of our program.
