Washi Making
We traveled to Nihonbashi in Tokyo to experience Washi Making first hand. We learned that Washi is often defined as traditional Japanese paper and that the raw material for Washi is commonly derived from Gampi Trees, Mitumata Shrubs, and Mulberry Bushes. We were also able to put our Japanese skills to the test as we decorated and created designs on our Washi creations using some of our favorite Kanji and Japanese expressions!
