Vamos a cocinar
This has been an amazing week of experiences for the students and this one was equally as fun. Students worked together to prepare some classic Spanish dishes. They prepared gazpacho (a chilled soup perfect for a hot day), tortilla española ( made with eggs, onions, garlic and potatoes), paella ( maincourse made of sofrito, saffron, rice, chicken, shrimp, mussels and calamares) and for dessert tarta de Santiago. At the end of the cooking event, we were able to eat together. All did really well in the kitchen. Be sure to ask them to prepare either the tortilla española or tarta de Santiago when they return home.
