Time Flies When You're Having Fun!
Buona sera!
I’ve already been in Rome for two weeks... I can’t believe we’ll be leaving in five more days! In the beginning, it was hard adjusting to life here, but now I can’t imagine leaving. My “home” in Rome is very different from my home in North Carolina, but I still love it here. Here, we’re staying at a hotel, which felt strange at first and took some getting used to. However, over time, I’ve grown to like it. One thing that’s surprised me is the way meals work here, and how much food is involved. I’ve definitely quickly gotten used to that though, and it's something I wish I could take it back home.
A Typical Weekday
A typical weekday for me begins at around seven AM. After hitting snooze several times, me and my roommates get up to get ready for the day. We go to breakfast at about eight, where I usually eat bread and a croissant. After breakfast, we all leave for the day - either to class, or off on a excursion. For lunch, we go to a restaurant, called Cantieri, on most days. After lunch, we’ll have another class, an excursion, or free time. We usually head back to the hotel around 4:30 and have free time to rest at the hotel, before dinner at 7:30. Some of my favorite excursions that we’ve been on has been the Colosseum, Vatican, and Florence!
These past two weeks have gone by way too fast, I'm going to miss everything so much when we leave!
