Time To Dance!
It’s hard to believe that we’re already halfway through the program! Our participants have been full-on soaking in the Madrid experience in their Spanish classes, cultural activities in the afternoons and spending time with their host families.
A highlight of this week was a special workshop on “Sevillianas” and “Cajón”. Sevillianas is a traditional dance rooted in southern Spanish culture whereas cajón is a special type of drum that is used during this dance. These are probably the things that you imagine when you think of flamenco here in Spain!
Without a doubt the students had a blast dancing and drumming the afternoon away. ¡Olé!
