Thursday at the Market
On Thursday morning our students met with their Spanish teachers at the plaza and walked to El Mercat De L'Olivar. This is one of the oldest markets in Palma, constructed in 1951. Today the market is full of fish, produce, Mediterranean gastronomy, and other traditional crafts, products, and wares. Students worked on a scavenger hunt asking vendors questions in Spanish, purchasing an item for their host family, and some souvenir shopping.
