Tapa-the mornin'!
With just two full days left in the Global Navigator program, the students are taking their time to soak up the Sevilla sun. However, who says a little competition can't keep things exciting?
Three teams, two tapas, one judge.
Our students had the opportunity to prepare two traditional Spanish tapas: tortilla de patata (potato omelet) and salmorejo (tomato dish similar to the well-known gazpacho). First, they learned all about the Mediterranean diet and types of food that are well-known throughout Spain. Then, things heated up. With all of the slicing, dicing, frying, and flipping, the students got to test out their teamwork and cooking skills simultaneously. It helped having some meat and cheese plates on the tables throughout the competition!
This cooking class was both a fun and interactive experience for the students; we can't believe our time is coming to an end!
