STUDENT BLOG: Mira D.
Today, we visited one of the Paramo ecosystems in Costa Rica. This ecosystem is found in high elevations with cold temperatures. Many specific plants and animals inhabit this ecosystem. One type of mushroom caught my eye; it was a very vibrant reddish, pinkish mushroom. It was a bit slimy, however I’ve never seen anything like it where I live. I think this is a really cool way to see just how nature provides so many interesting things. -Mira D.
Later in the day, we arrived in Sierpe, where I was shocked to see this beautiful river so close to the hotel! -Mira D.
