A Safari Into The Sunset

We are back and wasted no time getting to the wildlife.  After all arrived safely, we ate lunch and straight to the truck for a sunset game drive. We were warmly welcomed by impalas, zebra, warthog, giraffe, oryx, red hartebeest, kudu, cheetah, springhare and then a front row seat watching a mama white rhino scratching the parasites off her body on a rock while the baby stood guard wondering who the creatures were in a big metal box. We enjoyed the show capped off with them run away into the sunset.

We came back to dinner around the fire and spent time getting to know each other.  After days of travelling we slept early to be prepared for orientation Monday learning the history, culture, norms, language and traditional games of Botswana. "Motho ke motho ka Batho" is the motto of Botswana meaning I am who I am because of people. It is ingrained in the culture with a mindset of sharing everything and viewing others as having purpose in one's existence.
