Remembrance and Reflection at Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
On Wednesday, students made the journey to the town of Oranienburg. This excursion was quite different from our others since the destination was the memorial center at the site of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. Led by tour guides through the site, students learned about what happened to victims of National Socialism and were able to remember and memorialize those victims in their own way. The program leaders have encouraged students to take what they have learned here so such atrocities are never committed again.
