Passport to Prague
Our first full day in Prague kicked off with a warm welcome from CIEE staff and the Study Center. We had a crash course in Czech culture and etiquette, talked about the course curriculum and logistics, and went over important safety procedures -- with a snack of traditional Czech plum cake to sustain us!
After that, it was on to the city to put our cameras to work. Students descended from Petrin Hill to capture some of the most breath-taking views of the red-roofed city. We wove our way in and out of Gothic churches, graffiti-strewn alleyways, vibrant green parks, blocks of Baroque buildings, and medieval bridges. Our group was led by David, our photography instructor for the week, who advised us on how to look at the city with an eye for the unexpected.
