Our first weekend living in Monteverde! Student Post by Matylda
On Saturday or the first time this week we had clear skies all day. Leaving bright and early at 8am, we embarked on the trail of El Rio San Luis to visit the El Rio river, and spent some time in the water there.
The sun was out and the water was cool, making it a perfect time. We then packed up and headed up to El Saino to hit another river called Rio Bruja. This was a more secluded and in the shade area, and we didn’t spend that much time there before headed back, but stopped on the way to eat our lunch. Shortly after arriving back, we were all given the option to continue on another hike.
Some opted in to stay on campus, have a shower, rest and work on homework. The others continued on the other hike, a 4 mile one, to another river. The sun, thankfully still shining, made it a wonderful day. Now, it is finally raining and almost dinner time.
Ready for another day of adventure in Monteverde!
